Marshall JCM800 2203 re-issue is one of the most respected 100 Watt Marshall heads. Evoling from the "Plexi" head, the JCM800 was the first Marshall amplifier to feature a Master Volume control.
With the JCM800 less is more. Single channel all tube with no reverb. Simple front panel controls and distinctive roar has set the standard for which all other rock amps are judged. The only modern addition to the re-issue is a tonally transparent effects loop that can be bypassed.
The 1960A is the world's best selling 4x12" speaker cabinet. This cabinet has excellent sound projection due to its angled top speaker baffle. This allows the higher frequencies to really cut through the mix.
The 1960B has a straight front to it and all four speakers face out in the same direction. This gives the cabinet a more focused sound. The 1960B is a physically larger cabinet which has a lower resonate frequency. This is due to the straight speaker baffle and produces a slightly thicker sound.
